with a big dream
A small private practice
Caring Connections Pediatric Therapy PLLC is owned and operated by pediatric speech-language pathologist, Maria Evans, and was established in 2024. Maria is a seasoned therapist with years of experience serving the pediatric population and their families across North Carolina.
At Caring Connections Pediatric Therapy PLLC, Maria specializes in providing comprehensive speech, language, myofunctional, and feeding therapy services for children. She is committed to providing the best quality services to families living in the Wake Forest area. After 13 years of working in a variety of settings, she made the decision to venture out on her own as a solo entrepreneur with the goal of making her specialized skill set available to the community of Wake Forest and surrounding areas.
At Caring Connections, we set ourselves apart by offering a holistic approach to therapy. We believe in using child-centered strategies and caregiver collaboration. We promote inclusivity for children and families of all backgrounds and implement neurodiversity affirming practices.

Area of Special Interest
I have a particular interest in serving families of children diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) or suspected CAS. I have attended a number of courses and trainings to support my expertise in this area.
I am currently listed as an approved provider through the Apraxia Kids National Registry.
I am also formally trained in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) by Dr. Maria Grigos through the Once Upon a Time Foundation. This foundation is supporting important research for effective diagnosis and treatment of CAS.
Community Partnerships
-
Language Planet Montessori
Caring Connections is proud to partner with Language Planet Montessori to provide the community of Wake Forest and surrounding areas with high quality preschool education and speech therapy services — all in ONE location!
Our models of therapy at CCPT and the Montessori method complement each other beautifully, creating an ideal environment for language development. Both approaches emphasize individualized, child-led learning. The Montessori method’s hands-on, sensory-based activities align perfectly with the types of activities we develop and implement in our therapy sessions.
